MANIPULATION

Recently we have come across many people who have unwittingly tried to bribe God, by saying “God if you do this deal for me, then I will do this for you.” Or “God when this deal comes thru I will do this for you.”

Making plans is very Godly, but here I am speaking about the heart, which tries to bind God in a deal. Child of God, God does not make deals! – He has given everything! In fact at this time of Christmas let us look at our giving – What gifts have we offered up to Him? How many conditions?

Looking at all these gifts and people, who have tried to bribe God, they have one thing in common - God is nowhere near that deal! – There is a complete emptiness in that situation. Nothing has happened! God has totally left that situation – Not the people – no He still fully loves them, but the deal He does not participate in it. God does not call us to sit down at a card table in a casino and deal – He has called us to come to the cross and give out all to Him.

In fact I have seen selfishness be blessed more, when saying’ MINE! MINE! MINE! All mine than with those who deal saying ‘You do this, then I will do that’

Child of God, decide on your giving, then bring the whole gift to the altar and give it fully. With no strings attached, totally trusting God. He has your best interests at heart – he died for you!
