Our prayers and condolences go out to you and the family and friends of Chelsea.   We weep with those who weep.  We admire her courage through all of her ordeals but pray that the Lord used her valiant struggle for His glory.

May you and yours experience His Presence even more so now during this time of grief and sorrow.  May the Lord fill you with His peace and comfort.

Dear Lynne, Gran, Chevy and family

One does not know what words to use and how best to speak words of comfort to you all at this time. Linda and I have been sharing your war in the only way we know how - by praying.

We understand a little more than most of the pain that you have experienced over the past year, but still we cannot truly perceive the depth of your personal pain. We don't have any pat answers as to why God has permitted this evil thing to happen to Chelsea. All we can do is to continue to stand by you in prayer.

We do know that she no longer has to experience Doctors prodding her, sticking her with needles, lumbar punctures,  putting blood in - taking it out - asking endless questions that have been answered a hundred times before; the infections; the vomiting; the loss of hair; the lack of relating to friends and all the other intrusive things that are part of the treatment. No! All these things are past. She is with the Lord - Where there is no pain - only God's unbelievable love that surrounds her constantly.

But you have been left behind. Her Mother, Her Grandmother, her older sister. To have to bury someone younger than you is not normal - not expected - not reasonable - yet it is true.

Our prayer for you and that of the folks in Piet Retief is that God's peace will flow through you and help you all come to terms with what the enemy has robbed you of - your beautiful daughter, granddaughter and sister. Know this - his (the enemy's) time is coming when he will pay for all that he has stolen from God's children.

God bless you all

Love Linda and Neville

 Dear Mark

So what do you say to people who have suffered such a great loss? I have never been able to find the words, it is not something that one practises or pre thinks. I always feel awkward becuase the one thing that I am unable to say is "I know how you feel". This seems to me to be somehow presumptiousThe pain that you and your sister and the rest of the family feel is as individual as Chelsea was special. I can however get a good perception of the way things were for you because you allowed me to share in the battle. Thank you.

The thing that I can convey to you and your family is the message that we get from the gospel that is known as "The Blessed Assurance"

We know where she is!

God Bless

Hi Mark,

Thank you for keeping me updated. I received news of Chelsea’s passing on this morning.

We prayed for healing and life but God in his sovereign will have decided to let her pass on. We do not always understand it but He knows best.

Mal 4:2  But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

When my father in law was diagnosed with leukemia he got the above word. He passed on early in the morning as the sun was rising over the sea, fulfilling the word spoken. As he passed on he surely had a vision of God’s glory and heaven as he said “Hear O Israel, our God is the only God”. Chelsea is definitely in a better place.

Please send our word of comfort to the rest of the family. May God be with you all, comfort you during this time and give you peace.

Hello our dear friends,

We are so sorry for your loss.  Having been kept up-dated so often, we felt as though we knew this very precious angel, Chelsea.  Her faith and courage has inspired us even in our dry and hard times.  Thank you for letting us be a part of such a princess's life, which, even though cut so short, still effected so many people in such a wonderful way.

Bless you and your family.  I pray that this pain you are feeling now, would be cushioned by the love of Godly people who would surround you in this time.

We think of you and are praying for you all,

love Vern and Rog and girls

Brother Mark and family,

The enemy will always try to drain our precious energies during stressful times. The passing-on of Chelsea should be a testimony to all of us to be ready for we do not know the hour or day- only the Father knows. When I was praying yesterday and breaking bread with my wife- the Lord intensely reminded me about the sooner Second Coming of Jesus Christ on earth.

In the book of Revelation John  saw the new Jerusalem and he saw there will be no more death nor crying, sorrow or pain- God will wipe our tears from our eyes- behold the tabernacle of God is with men..... (please read book of Revelation)

My uncle also passed-on on Sunday at 04:00 am- we will be burrying him this coming Saturday 26th- even as I would like to join you on Friday I have to be at Empangeni to help with preparations there. We all need to be ready (that is the message !)

God bless you!

With lots of love to you and your family.

Although we never built a face to face relationship with her, we were partners together in the grace of God.

The Lord is merciful and full of love and compassion.

May this time be a time of kinship and love, fond memories and reflection as we celebrate life and life to the fullest in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Dear Mark and family,

My sincere prayer for the eternal rest of the soul of Chelsea..and to all of you who were left behind… At times though its very, very hard, the only consolation we can think of is, it is better for our loved one to leave us and the thought that she is in heaven with our loving Father...than have her here but see her suffering...

May God bless you all...

I’m so sorry to hear about Chelsea.  What can one say, except that I’ll be thinking of you all?  My heart goes out to you and your family…especially Chelsea’s mom…how her heart must be aching.

She was so beautiful and an inspiration to all of us.  We were all hoping for a miracle, possibly forgetting that she was the miracle… touching the lives of everyone that loved her.

Be strong, my friend.  Hope to see you soon.

Much love,

Michelle

We share in your sorrow and are grateful for the privelege of participating in this story of courage and faith. I have joined the intercession for Chelsea on a daily basis. It was a great battle sustained by sacrificial love. Not a moment will be wasted in the redemptive purposes of our Lord Jesus who makes all things beautiful in His time.

Chelsea has now entered into real Life, unfettered by a mortal body.

In the Lord`s good time we will all join in the Perichoresis dance of joy. Meanwhile we weep with those who weep.

with love

My deepest sympathy to you, Mark, because I know you personally, but especially to all of you who have been the closest to Chelsea.  I know how it feels to lose a child.  I've been there.  May the Holy Spirit wipe away your tears as you allow Him to be your great and only Comforter. Don't try to be strong for one another, but let God be your strength.  I have no words.  There are no words. Thank you, we will indeed count our blessings.

Thank you for your faithful e-mails and keeping us up to date through this time.  You will have to let go of the soulties, but only when you are ready.  Then only she will be free to enjoy being with Jesus Christ.

Our prayer is that you will see something beautiful that is part of Gods plan though all of this sorrow.
